About Dr. Sarah

Sarah graduated from Nipissing University with an honours degree in biology after completing her thesis on genetics and immune system function. With a passion for helping people and wanting to pursue a career in health care, Sarah completed her studies at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto and is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor in Ontario.

With her own health issues unsolved by medical doctors and specialists, Sarah turned to her education and training to help solve many of the ailments she had carried for years, including IBS, asthma, eczema, endometriosis, and other autoimmune conditions.

As part of her internship at CCNM, she completed a year of clinical practice with patients with Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. This, along with the rest of her training, research, and personal experience has given Sarah a great appreciation for complex clinical cases with both physical and mental aspects. Sarah's naturopathic practice is based on the latest evidence-based-medicine, orthomolecular medicine, and traditional therapies including acupuncture.

Her working background includes 14 years in pharmacy, and experience as birth doula in the Greater Toronto Area. Sarah is an author and contributor to The NaturalPath, the NDNR (Naturopathic News and Review), Naturopathic Currents, and has previously written for Eco Parent Magazine online. She is currently a technical writer for Advanced Orthomolecular Research (AOR) and Bird&Be, while working on the publication of her first book.

In addition to her love of books and writing, Sarah loves running, especially throughout the GTA's forest trails.  She is also the mother of an imaginative toddler, and a golden doodle named Maple.

She is a member of both the Ontario Association of Naturopathic Doctors (OAND) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND).
